How to Collect International Music Royalties
Your PRO doesn't collect worldwide. How reciprocal agreements move money between societies, where it leaks, and what you can do about it.
A US PRO membership is not a worldwide collection account. ASCAP and BMI have reciprocal agreements with sister societies, but those agreements are incomplete, delayed, and dependent on the work actually existing in the foreign society's database.
Direct registration — the way major publishers file — puts the work on the local society's books under a publisher membership. That is slower to set up and faster to pay.
Leaks happen when splits don't match, when an ISWC is missing, or when a cover or remix uses a different title. Radar is built to find those gaps. Registry is built to close them.
